- All students must arrive on time, on their scheduled first day, in full uniform
- Students may only wear a uniform purchased from Flynn and O’Hara Uniforms

- All students must have their class schedule, pens/pencils and a notebook on their first day
- Summer assignments will be due/collected on Monday, September 11
- The 2017-18 version of our student handbook will be posted on our website no later than Wednesday, September 6th. Parents and students are asked to review the handbook carefully. The signature sheet must be signed and returned by all students no later than Sept. 14
- Parents/Guardians: When dropping off/picking up your student – please be aware that we have been reminded by NYPD Transit that vehicles standing in traffic lanes in front of the school entrance is illegal, and more importantly, it creates a safety issue. For the safety of all of our students, please do not block traffic by double parking and/or allowing your vehicle to stand idle in traffic lanes.
Opening School Schedules
Thursday, September 7, 2017
- All freshmen must report to school by 8:10 AM. Freshman orientation will begin promptly at 8:15 AM
- During the orientation students will:
- Meet their homeroom teachers
- Attend several small workshops designed to help with academic skills
- Learn the layout of the building
- Be assigned lockers
- All students must purchase locks from St. Edmund Prep; the cost is $8.00
- Receive their MetroCards
- Walk through their schedules and meet their teachers
- Get textbooks
- St. Edmund Prep will provide lunch for all students
- Students will be dismissed at 2:40 PM
Friday, September 8, 2017
- 10:00 AM – Freshmen report to homeroom
- 10:00 AM – Sophomores report to homeroom
- 10:30 AM – Juniors report to homeroom
- 11:00 AM – Seniors report to homeroom
- 12:00 PM – Opening school liturgy – all students
- 1:00 PM – Back to school reception – all students are invited to attend
