St. Edmund Prep was honored by the presence of Bishop Raymond Chappetto, Vicar General of the Diocese of Brooklyn as he offered Mass for the members of the Junior and Senior classes on February 23rd. Bishop Chappetto was joined by Fr. Sean Suckiel and Fr. Jason Espinal of the Vocations Office and Fr. David Dettmer, Pastor of St. Edmund Parish.
During his homily, Bishop Chappetto reflected on the greatest role we can take on in life, that of a servant. He said "No matter what our role in life, whether it be a priest, religious, married, teacher, doctor, or lawyer the greatest role we can all aspire to be the servant of our neighbor. This is what the Lord calls all of us to do". After Mass Bishop Chappetto, Fr. Sean, and Fr. Jason met with students to discuss vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
