Students and faculty took part in a multitude of activities. Projects included constructing and decorating the homerooms' All Hallows Giving donation boxes, making cards for our First Responders, wrapping toys for children in Maimonides Medical Center, sorting and labeling clothes, toiletries, and food for the Midnight Run this October, as well as helping to prepare bags for “Operation Gift for Seniors" with the Mickey and Dee Foundation.
Members of the faculty have expressed their gratitude to everyone who was able to come and give a helping hand. When asked, students gave their insight as to why they love partaking in the Day of Service with one saying: “It gives students an opportunity to help the less fortunate and connect with each other while having a day away from academics.”
Thank you to every single person who was able to be of service and put a smile on the faces of people receiving our donations. Feel good about what has been accomplished and know that God has seen all of your efforts today. Events like these are important to our Catholic identity and to St. Edmund Prep's mission of making sure students “develop a strong sense of self and a moral compass” has been fulfilled.
"Generous persons will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed." (Proverbs 11:25)
