The mass was celebrated by our Chaplain Fr. Michael Gribbon. In the Gospel we listened to the story of the joyful encounter of Mary and Elizabeth at the Visitation. In his homily, he reflected on the role of Mary as the cause of our joy.
"Mary is a model for us, and what she models for us is the ability to be there for one another. We are being our best selves when we can sacrifice for one another. Just like Mary in her visit to Elizabeth, we empty ourselves out for the sake of another person. We use our gifts in the service of love, generosity, and in the values which we honor in the Blessed Mother today. In our celebration today we see Mary as the cause of our joy and we celebrate her as a model and example for us. She really is the G.O.A.T. of all Catholic saints. She is the one who we can really all look up to and say, 'I want to be more like Mary'."
Let us lift our prayers to our Blessed Mother, knowing that anyone who to went to her for her protection, help, or intercession was not left unaided.

Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
