Students across all grade levels gave up their afternoon and evening in service for others to distribute clothing, sandwiches, soup, and coffee to the homeless. They were truly men and women for others, as they did the work of the Lord that night.
SEP coordinated this effort in conjunction with Midnight Run, an organization that has been serving the homeless in New York City since 1984. The Midnight Run organization coordinates over 1,000 relief missions per year in which volunteers distribute food, clothing, blankets and personal care items to the homeless poor on the streets of New York City.
A special thank you to our Lil’ Eagles of St. Edmund Elementary School who collected clothing, toiletries and cold weather accessories in support of our Midnight Run!
Our next Midnight Run will be on April 12th as we continue to develop this truly amazing program here at St. Edmund Prep and grow into true uncommon leaders in this emerging global society.
